Description:
Organo-sulfur compound composed of two propyl-alkoxysilated groups linked by a tetratomic polysulfide. Its functionality is normally as a coupling agent, although it also works by providing the intermediate sulfur chain for crosslinking during vulcanization processes.
When used in rubber compounds the following benefits are obtained:
- With dosages of 0.5 to 1.0 PHR for clays and 1.0 to 4.0 phr for Silica, it works as a compatibilizer, coupling the filler to the elastomer, resulting in an increase in modulus and resistance to abrasion.
- The four sulfur atoms that the product contains in the center of its molecule participate as crosslinking agents during the vulcanization process.
- This Coupling replaces the crosslinks that break during the vulcanization process, resulting in improved resistance to the reversion process*. With proper formulation, reversion-free* compounds can be developed. This process is known as equilibrium curing. It dramatically improves flexural properties such as resistance to heat crack growth during dynamic performance.
- By completely removing sulfur from NR, SBR, and NBR-based compounds, and replacing it with Si-69 Combined with thiuram accelerators, compounds with excellent aging resistance, in addition to coupling properties, are produced.

Application markets:
- Calzado; Imparts abrasion and cut resistance and improves flex properties
- Rodillos; improves processing, abrasion and aging resistance, reduces hysteresis and water absorption and compression set.
- Artículos moldeados; increases the modulus, the dynamic properties and the resistance to aging, reduces the compression set, the absorption of polar liquids. On the other hand, it facilitates the use of fillers and reinforcers other than carbon black, improving its performance notably.
- Mangueras; improves abrasion resistance, adhesion to reinforcing meshes, resistance to heat aging, and modulus, and reduces compression set.
- Llantas solidas; improves processing, abrasion resistance, modulus and reduces hysteresis.
- Llanta neumática; It improves resistance to abrasion, hot tearing, reinforcement adhesion, and facilitates the substitution of carbon black fillers for silica, improving their performance.
- Bandas transportadoras; improves abrasion resistance, adhesion to reinforcing cords, flexural modulus, and reduces costs by allowing the use of reinforcers other than carbon black.
- Bandas “V”; Improves abrasion resistance, adhesion to reinforcing elements, flexural properties, and modulus.
